Family & Friends

Hey friends and family! This upcoming Sunday is Family and Friend Day! We look forward to this every year. This year is even more special to me. I think because for the last several weeks I have been getting reacquainted with my family (that I don’t get to see as often) and some old friends.

I have realized the older I get, the more precious time is and how important family and friends are in my life. A quote that I heard recently is

“When you realize that each day is not one more day, it’s one less, you will start giving more value to the things that truly matter.”  It encourages living in the present, appreciating the time we have and focusing on what truly is important: the people in our lives!

I want to be fully present with my family and friends on any opportunity that I am given. I want to soak it all in, recognizing what you impart to me and what I can impart to you.

My dearest Eagles Way Church, you are not only my friends, but you are also my FAMILY! I am so thankful and blessed that you have been a part of my life for over 50 years.

Hebrews 10:25 tells us, “And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.”  This is a call to be empowered by God and do life together. It’s amazing doing life with you. We need each other!

Invite your family and friends to be empowered by God and experience life together this Sunday. We only get this one life, one chance and one opportunity to get it right! Let’s do what Buren said this past Sunday and “dig deeper.”

I rejoiced with those who said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD.” Psalms 122:1-9 NIV

Let’s Make Today Count,
