I’m not like Buren that has a cousin in every neighborhood of my hometown. You think I’m kidding! When he visits the funeral home, he has a family reunion.
The old saying that “You can pick your friends, but are stuck with your family,” is not a negative statement to me. Family is one of the greatest things in life. Even family relationships don’t just happen they have to be developed. Family is willing to love no matter what happens in life.
Paul is out on tour, Elizabeth graduated, (I cried like a baby), and is preparing for college, my little boy turning into a young man, and my wife becoming more beautiful everyday both inside and out. I know that I never want to take one moment for granted. I want to spend every opportunity I can with them.
As we move along in life, children grow, relationships develop, circumstances happen, curve balls come, but nothing is more stabilizing than the love of family and our relationship with God. I am very grateful for my church family and I appreciate the relationships we have developed over the years here at Eagles Way Church.
