Eagles Way Church was the turning point in my life April 1986. The people here are such good-hearted, strong men and women of God. A long time ago, someone told me I had to open my arms to the body of Christ. But, for me, I had to feel the love to do that!
I had never been accepted and loved anywhere else the way I was accepted and loved here. I was surrounded by genuine followers of Christ. I learned and continue to learn so much from the pastors and leadership here, at Eagles Way. I have grown so much under the teachings of Pastors Buren Goss, (John Holloway when I first began attending), Mike Oliver, Keith Wesley, Will Doss, Michael Thurston, and Linda Hardwick.
I am in covenant relationships with the people at Eagles Way Church. I am so thankful God put us together in this body! I want to be at Church the first thing each week and on Wednesdays. My foundation was built here. I learned to seek God, to put on the armour of God, to lift my hands and praise God freely here. I learned to let go of all religious ways. I learned to forgive, bless, and release the person that offended me - to give it to the Lord and let Him deal with it.
I have learned to encourage as I have been encouraged. I have been free to share my life with others and to invite others to Church - to not judge them but to love them where they are. Everyone has a story! We do not know where they have been, what roads they have traveled. Eagles Way Church is a healing Church. We have been healed of hurts, pain, brokenness, and we share that love with others to guide them to a God of love!! God honors faithfulness, not only in coming to Church but in being loyal to the Body of Christ, covering each other in love! I personally LOVE to give to the Church or others in need. I love to go above and beyond because God has blessed me so much through Eagles Way Church. I love each person here so much! They are my family. God gave them all to me!! I know He is pleased with us, because we have faith and trust in Him!
Our Father in Heaven can do all things! Nothing is impossible for Him.
I treasure what we learn from Pastor Buren and Pastor Will each week. I remain excited and have much, much enthusiasm for EWC. I love our Praise and Worship team, our greeters, those who volunteer from the information booth hosts to media personnel to the ones who give out the bulletin to those who take up the offerings. I love our children's teachers who serve on Sundays and Wednesdays. I love our I am small group leaders, those who volunteer in sound, our Youth group….Did I mention I love our volunteers?
We have home groups that are awesome. We have people who truly care about the hurting – those dealing with grief and loss, caretakers, and others. We have groups that support blended families. Groups and classes that help with finances, forgiveness, and Bible studies. Groups for Ladies and Men…so much! I am connected to a great prayer group. We watch lives touched as we pray for each need people have!
I love our means to get people connected - the ice cream socials, family picnics, BBQ's, movie nights, bowling nights, the list goes on. We all just enjoy being together!
I love every person here. Eagles Way Church expands that love to reach out and enjoy where God has us!! I am so thankful we are encouraged to be grateful, positive, to look on the bright side, to love, reach out, and are reminded to appreciate life and each other.
I am so thankful for Eagles Way Church!
Blessings to you!
