There are times we find things we really desire, and we put them on “layaway”. We begin paying on them each week or each month, so that one day we will be able to obtain the valuable treasure we have been longing for. This can be a big heart reveal, and it brought Matthew 6:19-21 to mind:
“Don’t lay up treasures here on earth, where they can be eaten by moths and get rusty, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where they will never become moth-eaten or rusty and where they will be safe from thieves. Wherever your treasure is, there your heart and thought will also be”.
Where is my heart? Where are my thoughts? Is it in things or treasures? What have I been laying away? What have you been laying away?
My treasure is that I seek first His kingdom and that I can produce good things in the lives of others. A good person produces good deeds from a good heart. (Luke 6:45)
By the way, my new grandbaby that I have on “layaway” is a little boy! How awesome is that?
Blessings to you all!
