When I was a little boy we use to sing a song that said, it gets sweeter as the days go by. It was talking about our relationship with God. Back then, it was a song of faith, today it is a song of experience. I have learned that true knowledge has to be experienced.
We live in an information getting society. We are bombarded by television, newspapers, Internet with all sorts of knowledge-information.
When the scriptures speak of us knowing God, it is not talking about facts about God only. To really know something, we have to experience it.
The scriptures states that Adam knew his wife, and she conceived. It was an intimate experience of their relationship that brought forth life.
It is today the same for us. God desires an intimate relationship with us that we experience and therefore brings life to us. An abundant, fulfilling life, filled with love, joy and peace.
Christianity is much more than a theology. It is a transforming experience that last for eternity. It’s not information that God wants to give us, but rather transformation.
