Even though the water was freezing, Pastor Buren says it's not until you have baptized someone in freezing water that you actually become a real Pastor. So I have been accepted (finally) into he brotherhood!!!
Monday I cleaned the youth room.... I know sounds like fun huh? Actually it was nice to see the transformation from really dirty and sort of smelly, to clean and not so smelly. Anti- smelly. Anyway, so yesterday was very productive.
Today (Tuesday) or should I say Terrific Tuesday, I had the privilege of being a driver/chaperone on an EWC Kids field trip to Jumpin Jelly Beans. Boy Howdy, I love giant jumpy things!! On the way home I glanced in he rear view mirror and saw a group of young kids. Then I glanced back again and saw a group of teenagers. It was like God was giving me a hint of what is to come. Soon these young kids will be young adults, and will be in our youth group. I am very thankful that I get to start building relationships with them now. Hopefully by the time they get to be teenagers they will know that I love them, and I really hope they will love me back. Yes, it's been a really excellent week.
