I LOVE gadgets. Okay, just call me Gadget Girl.  Even as a little girl I loved taking things apart, trying to figure out how they worked, and then putting them back together again. I just wanted to know how it all worked. One of my biggest tasks was when I was 15 - working in a garage and taking a car engine apart.  Weird, I know. Technology today is absolutely amazing, don’t you think? Getting to know how things work, and looking inside to figure it all out, especially people.  Gotta love it!

Today we have email, Myspace, Facebook, Twitter and so many more opportunities to get to know people. You can fill out “25 Things About Me,” or the complete the “One Word” that give others a glimpse into the “real you.”  These forms of communication allows you to peek inside another’s life – get to know that person a little better than you did before.  Often times, we learn something new about another individual that catches us by surprise – good and bad!  Would you ever have thought that I use to work on cars? Didn’t think so.  It reminds me of one of my favorite scriptures:

As a result, I can really know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised Him from the dead. I can learn what it means to suffer with Him, sharing in His death, so that somehow, I can experience the resurrection from the dead!  Philippians 3:10-11

We have that golden opportunity to KNOW and UNDERSTAND really who Christ is through reading about Him.  We can EXPERIENCE the power that raised Him from the dead!  We can see how much He loved us when we become aware of how He suffered so that we may have life and have it so much more abundantly.  What sort of power does it take to raise someone from the dead? Have you ever thought about that? Want to know? Are you as curious as I am to not only get to know people but also our heavenly Father?  I want to see how He makes it all work. I want to experience his amazing love that I often struggle wrapping my head around. Technology? The best technology we have today is called the Word of God.
